Research for a Dance magazine! (Vibe)

This is vibe magazine. Obe of the reasons why i chose to analyse vibe magazine is because the cover not only caters to the target audience but expresses the artists indiviual image for example on this cover: lil wayne sitting on the throne. This is also done through the expression on the artists face and also the colour scheme used which suits the intended purpose for this magazine cover. This magazine cover looks very appealing mainly due to the interesting image of the artist this would inface appeal to males and females. It would appeal to males due to the artist giving off the personna of having status and it would appeal to the females as there is a male artist on the cover and again the image gives off the personna of having status and also wealth. The colour scheme would also appeal to both males and females as it looks appealing and attractive, also the colours do not predominantly point to appeal to one specific genre. Again i feel that this magazine is aimed at the ages of 18 - 25 this is due to the artist used and also to what genre he caters too (R&b) along with the colour scheme of this magaizne.

The header used on this magazine cover looks appealing and is easily visible on this magazine especially due to the colour scheme used as they two colours blue and yellow go well together especially when the colour blue is predominant this is because it gives a fun sense of feeling to the magazine cover. The image used on this magazine cover is a picture of a very well known artist called "lil wayne" and this image is a typical image of what this artist usually appears in therefore, i feel this image suits the magazine well and still keeps with being appealing to the audience.

The mode of address used on this magazine cover is DIRECT as the artist is looking directly into the camera this makes the artist dennote his importance as well as his status and wealth and this is typical of this artists style and this is why i feel that this is an appealing cover and has given me some ideas as how to make my magazine cover.
