Production!! - Raw shots

Raw shots!!

Luckily the image that i am going to use for my main cover turned out brilliantly and does not need any editing just simply a bit of cropping.

In this image my model is leaning up against a tree with one leg resting on it. Luckily the lighting was perfect and the light covered half of his body whilst leaving the other half in the shade. The other shots that where taken on the day where just shots that where trying to find the best look and pose i took about 3 tester photos:

Above are some tester photo's that i took do determine the correct lighting, pose for my model, the type of background i wanted to choose etc. However, these photo's also came in handy in my equipment list as they where cropped and added against each prop e.g. headphones. The only manipulating that where done to these where some cropping which can be seen in my equipment post.

The other pictures that where taken at this photo shoot where for the side pictures that i was going to have on my article and again these pictures turned out perfect after testing around in different light with the camera's. These images simply needed a bit of cropping and resizing so they would fit onto my article.

The following photo shoot was the  images that where needed for my contents page and required another model. This image was taken outside college against a wall and these image although turned out well needed some adjusting to the contrast and needed cropping.

These where the three images that i chose could possibly become my contents page picture. My aim of this picture was to have my model position his head off camera at different angles to show off his profile. I chose to have the first image as my contents image as i found that image showed off his profile best and also his posture was the best in that image. However, this image needed some editing as can be seen to remove the bin on the right hand side and also to adjust the lighting to make it slightly darker.

This picture needed cropping to remove the edge of the wall which was on the left and then the bin which was on the right to make it suitable for my contents page. This is how the image looked once this was done. Following this as you can see the lighting was not right and therefore, i needed to adjust the contrast of this image and this was done in photoshop.

Finally after this editing was completed this is how the final image looked and it was then put onto my contents page. This image was more appropriate for my contents page as it is in much more detail and the sharpness is slightly better as it was adjusted in photoshop after the contrast had been adjusted.

These images where taken for my main article and they where taken in landscape as this is the format that i wanted for this picture. Again luckily enough these images turned out exactly how i would of liked and therefore, did not need much editing done to them. Overall to these images i simply needed to crop the sides off a little to get it to the size i wanted and also so it would fit onto my article. For my main article i chose the second picture (the one on the left) as this sent the message that i wanted to portray to the reader best.
