In order to keep this as one big post i made a JPEG of each of my pages once they got to a certain stage and this was done until i got the final completed page.
This was what my magazine cover look like at the beginning as soon as i had taken my pictures and began to make my cover. In this i had yet not decided fully on what my articles where going to be as all that had been planned but not chosen. I had a fixed idea of what was going to be on my magazine cover and therefore, i hit the ground running and made a lot of progress at the beginning.
At this stage I felt as though my main cover was completed as i had everything on their that i had needed and had completed everything that i had intended to do as i had placed on the articles which are conventional of a magazine cover and also added a special offer tag which some magazines have. However, on closer inspection i found that the writing was not fully legible and therefore, had to change the font. I also decided on having a strap line underneath the main header as this is also a convention of magazine covers.
After finding a suitable and legible font for my magazine cover to me it did not look as lively as before and so i played with the layout of the articles a little bit and in the end this was the formot that i chose for my final main cover. I also
Next I had to create a contents page to list all the the content of my magazine and to begin with i decided on creatinf the layout first and then adding my image as the focus of a contents page is to advertise the content. this is what I came up with after testing different fonts etc.
Luckily the layout for my contents page had already been decided and i had already created a draft of my contents page to make it easier for me to decide on how to make it look when i actually came round to creating it. The colour scheme was also quite easy as i just followed the colour scheme that had been set on my main cover along with most of the content which i had to advertise on the main cover.
This is what my contents page looked like after i had taken and edited and then added the correct image into it. After this was created i was not fully satisfied as my contents page still looked slightly empty and so i had to make some changes.
In the end i decided on adding the main heading into the black margin as i though this made the contents page look much more lively and appealing and i also added the number of the page that the image on my contents of the article that this image linked too. Overall, i feel as though my contents page fulfils its purpose well.
Finally i had to create my article this time due to the fact that i had a lot of writing to add i put the images that i took on first to give me a rough idea on how long my article should be. The layout was again quite simple as the draft i made to give me an idea of how to make my article look worked perfectly.
This is what my article looked before i added the text and this layout followed my draft perfectly.
This is what my main article looked like after i had added the text at first i thought i had completed it but it did not look fully like a magazine article and therefore, i created a background to go with the colour scheme and to make the article look more appealing on photoshop.
My final completed article looked like this after i had added the green and grey background which i felt suited the colour scheme and added some more colour to the article.
